{"id":103,"date":"2022-03-29T17:25:30","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T14:25:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/udbankl.wordpress.com\/?p=103"},"modified":"2026-03-30T10:46:56","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T10:46:56","slug":"udb-launches-a-thematic-campaign-to-capture-the-spirit-of-growth-and-innovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udbl.co.ug\/blog\/udb-launches-a-thematic-campaign-to-capture-the-spirit-of-growth-and-innovation\/","title":{"rendered":"UDB launches a thematic campaign to capture the spirit of growth and innovation."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Major media campaign on TV, Radio and online invites Ugandans to connect with national spirit with messages of hope and change<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>20<sup>th<\/sup> November 2021 \u2013 Kampala, Uganda. <\/strong>The Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDBL), the country\u2019s national Development Finance Institution, has today unveiled a thematic campaign aimed at drawing attention to the national \u201ccan do\u201d spirit with a message that taps into the inspiration, persistence and achievements of ordinary Ugandans that together drives everyday development and growth.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cAs we mark yet another year, one where we have been tested by the difficult conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to recognize our national culture of overcoming challenges, our innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, and overwhelming enthusiasm to take risks and to grow despite whatever challenges we are facing,\u201d said the UDBL Managing Director Patricia Ojangole.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Running under the theme; Improving \u2018The Quality Of Life Of Ordinary Ugandans\u2019, the message of the campaign launched in several languages asks, \u201cwhat makes us Ugandan?\u201d and challenges Ugandans to continue \u201cgrowing and glowing\u201d because being <em>Ugandan<\/em> is synonymous with a desire to improve one\u2019s quality of life and circumstances.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cThis is our role and mission. To improve the quality of life of Ugandans,\u201d said Ms Ojangole, adding that, the Bank shares with all Ugandans the inspiration to work consistently for change. \u201cIt is in our DNA as Ugandans to want better for ourselves and our families. UDBL\u2019s mandate is to facilitate this development through the vast range of products and services that we offer,\u201d she said. Despite the pandemic, UDBL has seen its investments grow registering remarkable sustainable development Impact this year in the areas of job creation, entrepreneurship, taxes, business continuity, women and youth empowerment among others.
